Graham Cracker Wardrobe:

The Pevensies enter Narnia through an old clothes closet, or wardrobe. Have the students make their our own wardrobe, or work as a team to make one! Use graham crackers, Hershey bars and anything else!

Beaver Food

Some of the first talking animals the children meet in Narnia are the beavers. They invite them in for a meal and tell them about Aslan. Come up with “beaver” food like goldfish, Swedish fish, potato chips, etc.

“So you’ve come at last!” she said, holding out both her wrinkled old paws. “At last! To think that ever I should live to see this day! The potatoes are on boiling and the kettle’s singing and I daresay, Mr Beaver, you’ll get us some fish.”

High Tea with Aslan:

After Edmond is reunited with his brother and sisters, the siblings sit down to a picnic and “high tea” with Aslan. Go outside with blankets if weather permits.

“How Asian provided food for them all I don’t know; but somehow or other they found themselves all sitting down on the grass to a fine high tea at about eight o’clock.”

Signs of Spring

As Aslan arrives in Narnia, the snow and ice begin to melt and “spring” returns to Narnia. Gather “green” and “leafy” snacks for a spring-inspired snack time (can use “St. Patrick’s Day snacks”). Some options could be celery with the leaves, kiwi, green apples, etc.

Winter Snacks

Similar to the spring-inspired snacks, you could also serve winter-inspired snacks or Christmas snacks during one of the first days (when Father Christmas arrives). These could be: hot chocolate, mini marshmallows, Christmas cookies, etc.
